RUBY ANNEX, LOWER MARSH

Following the success of our Ruby Lucy Hotel in Lower Marsh we were later appointed to develop an architectural scheme that extends the hotel into the adjoining two sites. Given the sensitive and eclectic nature of Lower Marsh a wholly different architectural form was proposed. The proposal draws reference from other massing along Lower Marsh. Historic precedent is referenced in the façade design creating a new style of double-bay building, standing with grandeur and prominence within the overall streetscape. The addition of two contrasting styles of architecture continues the romantic, piecemeal build up of architecture for which Lower Marsh is known for.
